I’ve been asked several times lately about my binding method. I do a double machine bind, where I sew the binding on both the front and back of the quilt, with the sewing machine… no hand sewing involved :)
I started doing my bindings this way, out of sheer necessity years ago, when I just didn’t have time to finish them by hand and they were piling up. It took a little patience and a little bit more practice, but now I’m super happy with my results and it takes a fraction of the time that it used to. I’m no longer stressed about the time it takes to get things done!
