A Parade of Beauty!

This should be fun! Many of you know we did a quilt along for my latest pattern, Crimson Christmas, recently. Each week, for five weeks, I recorded a video lesson the participants watched before moving to the next part of the process. And boy, was it fun to see these quilts come together! I think you'll agree, this is quite the parade of eye candy.

We had almost 1,700 people in this year's quilt along group, with members showing their work week after week. I was so inspired by each one, as people made this pattern their own, by choosing different colors or drafting a larger layout. I found myself saying, wow, why didn’t I think of that?! Haha! I hope you enjoy this amazing show of workmanship. I'm so thrilled to share their work with the big wide world of quilters :)

Sheree McMahon May – I am so proud of this quilt. I’ve never done one of Krista’s patterns although I have another one ready to start! The videos filled any gaps if I lost confidence along the way. Once quilted, it will be an amazing wall hanging in my home.

Martha Chown - This quilt top was like nothing I've ever made before. Usually after a few hours of working on a quilt I have figured out and understood the construction. Not with this one! I decided I just needed to follow the steps one at a time and trust the process! The quilt blocks are not like most blocks, they are all different shapes! In the end, they all went together like magic, Honestly, I couldn't believe it!

Shelly Halls Mutch – The moment I saw the quilt, I knew I had to make it. I got my top completed before Christmas. Still need to do the quilting. As a ‘stripologist’, I loved that I could use my Stripology rulers to cut the vast majority of my units. Love how Krista’s patterns come together so easily and all the great hints on how to make it beautiful.

Ann Tom – Pieced and pinned but waiting out the holidays to find time for quilting. It’s my favorite Krista Moser pattern. The videos were great as well as the contributions and creativity of my fellow quilters.

Peggy Simpson - Like others, I saw the pattern, it was such a beautiful design, and knew I had to try and make it. I haven’t done a lot of piecing, but with video and a well-written pattern, it worked.

Amy Scott Mora

Karen Gora - Used black glitter Grunge as the background & binding. Quilted on my APQS long arm. I followed Krista’s quilting example except I did a medium size stippling in the background areas. I really enjoyed this pattern.

Terri St Clair

Debbie Arsenault - Awesome quilt along. Loved this. Plan to make another in 2025.

Sonja Lowe Devenney - Ready to snuggle with.

Jana Hegstad Zander - Thank you, Krista Moser, for such a beautiful festive Christmas pattern.

Terri Paziuk - A friend said she thought this would be nice in all white and then I saw a panel by Northcott called Midas Touch. This is the result of four panels and a little yardage - a pink version. Love your patterns, Krista!

Linda Maether - I purchased a kit from my local quilt shop. I love the technique. I quilted it using vertical straight lines and pink thread to match my backing.

Northern Quilter - I found the hardest part of making the poinsettias was deciding on the colors I wanted. I thought the pink and burgundy would be my choices on the big quilt but I liked the pop of red. I played around quilting the pink one. Thanks for another great pattern, Krista.

Tonia Zeiler - My favorite quilt shop, The Fabric Chic, put together a beautiful bundle for this quilt! I loved putting it together, and really appreciated the videos- helped this first-time user of the diamond rulers. Thanks, Krista for a really fun pattern and helpful videos!

Debbie Stancil Kraszeski - I received my quilt kit in late November, so excited to have finished the quilt top today. I'm going to quilt it myself, after getting backing and finding time. Just happy to have it hanging on the design wall. Ready for Christmas 2025!

Tracey Christianson - Hung this morning, Dec. 25th!

Helen Alden Wilson - Done last night with about 1/2 hour to spare lol. I learned quite a bit with this quilt. It’s for my Mom, and to my delight I get to give it to her in person today.

Sherrill Ash - Loved creating this quilt and managed to finish before Christmas, despite getting a late start. Merry Christmas to all!

Carol Preston

Mary Davis - Done and hung! Love love love this design.

Gayle Brown - Quilted and bound. I tried to be clever with the binding so it would match the quilt top, but it was harder than I thought.

Sharon Lash - I quilted it myself with a pattern called Twist and Shout e2e, by Christy Dillon. That's about how this quilt makes me feel! Lol.

Liz Nielson Colman

Elizabeth Wilson - Finished in time for Christmas. I love it. I quilted it on my domestic machine in Krista's style. The lines can be a bit wonky. But after washing and standing back, you don't even notice. It looks good.

Mary Redick - My top is done! I can’t believe I actually finished (with a little help from Jack the seam ripper at times!) it’s so beautiful. Krista Moser, thanks so much for this wonderful kit and awesome tutorials!

Brenda Sleeper - Made as a gift to granddaughter. Thanks, Krista for a truly innovative pattern idea and help with execution.

Joyce Gridley - Here's mine! So much fun and love how stunning it looks. I haven't seen a bad picture yet. Everyone's looks so cool!

Susan Beasley - Finally finished after a few missteps! This was a lot of fun despite my mistakes! Thank you, Krista. I hope you do this again next year.

Deborah Zarra Jacobs - Yippie Dance, I finally finished! I asked Santa for a new seam ripper.

Julie Belz - I used fabric from my stash and only had to buy the background. I quilted straight lines on my domestic machine. It was a fun pattern to make.

Rebecca Svaty Laubengayer - Thank you, Krista, for such a beautiful pattern! And, I learned so much from the videos!

Lily Kamikihara - I'm so glad I was able to finish this in time for Christmas. If I didn't finish, it may have gone into my UFO pile. Absolutely love the pattern.

Linda McKee Kau - Done and hung! I was so excited when I first saw Krista's Crimson Christmas I didn't even think about my color vision deficiency and how it might affect my work. But, after using my phone quite often to try to figure out what fabric went where, it's done and hanging in my living room.

Jean Miehlke - I finally made it to the quilting machine. All done but the background with custom quilting on my Sweet 16. Now, I'm contemplating background fills.

Janet Ferguson Luda

Lana Lewis Russel - Finished and hung in my entry. Love it! Thanks, Krista!

Norma Shaarda - Wishing all a very Merry Christmas, and a special thanks to Krista for another great sew-along. Now, I can't wait to quilt it.

Lori Pasaka - Finished my quilt top at a 4 day sewing retreat. I swapped out a few colors from the kit. I'm very happy with this beautiful design.

Linda Izzard

Bri Gitta - I love everything about this pattern, and enjoyed how fast it went together. I'm going to make a Spring version in soft colors, next.

Karen Herber Pickford - This was such a fun project! I love seeing all the variety of fabrics and quilting designs. Hopefully, mine will be quilted by next Christmas. Thanks for another awesome QAL, Krista!

Dianne Winen - Loved doing this quilt. It was my first time doing a krista moser pattern, and it was very addictive. The video and pattern were good to follow. Love everyone's colors and work. Thank you.

Sue Schoch

Diane Beetsma - Made a single poinsettia into a tree skirt. I think it turned out pretty good. Thanks for the inspiration, Krista.

Connie Morris - Here’s mine! Love the snow photo I took!

Yvonne Mitchell Shaw - First Krista Moser quilt, happy with results

Sherry Rupe - Time to get quilted. All from my stash except the background

Helen Pedersen - I've thoroughly enjoyed completing my first Krista quilt. What a fabulous pattern and excellent teaching videos. I know they haven’t all been shown, and I raced ahead and finished before the end of the quilt along. I'll be watching the remaining ones when they are published because I have a hankering to make another one.

Colleen Francis - It’s looking like Christmas at my house!

Happy New Year everyone,

Krista
