Have you ever wondered what type of batting to use for what project? Or maybe you’ve just stuck to the basics and are now ready to do some batting exploration! I’ve put together this little cheat sheet to answer some questions and/or give you some ideas. Maybe you want your quilt to be super stable, but have plenty of loft that shows off the quilting. How about layering it up? You could use: one layer of cotton batting with another layer of higher loft poly or wool. There are tons of options out there, so why not try them all :) and don’t forget to save your scraps, they can be sewn together for smaller projects.
